Watchlists are Here: See Messaging Performance Over Time

Nathaniel MintoProduct News

You launched your messaging... how's that going? Now you can set up Watchlists to monitor specific message adoption, deal presence, and team usage over time.

Introducing Watchlists in Troupe — so you can stop guessing whether your messaging is actually getting adopted and landing.

Here’s the common scenario: You've done the work. You've brought the inputs together to refresh the messaging, updated the messaging guide, briefed the sales team, shipped some new content. And then… you wait. You hope. You listen to a handful of calls and check in with a few reps. You dump some transcripts into an AI model and ask it for its summary. You do your best to figure out whether any of it is actually sticking.

That's the part nobody talks about when they talk about messaging. Not the creation of it — but the proving of it.

We’re excited to announce Watchlists in Troupe: a purpose-built way to monitor how well specific messages are being adopted and delivered across the organization — over time, across channels, down to the rep level — and connect that adoption to deal presence and revenue outcomes.

Now you can truly monitor what’s actually happening in “the real world.” Troupe connects your intended messaging to what's actually being said across calls, emails, and content — and ties it to conversion and win rate data. From there, Watchlists let you track the trajectory of specific messages from your messaging guide that are of particular interest to you and the team members using them.

Two Types of Watchlists so You Can Track Messaging Trendlines

Troupe offers two Watchlist types in the app that are super-easy to set up in just a few clicks:

1. Message Adoption Watchlists

This is the one you'll reach for every time you launch new messaging, update a narrative, or roll out positioning for a new product or persona.

In addition to Troupe already monitoring your “overall alignment” to your messaging guide, here is where you select the specific messages from your messaging guide that you want to hone in on and track. For example, maybe at a recent sales kickoff event or for a new product feature launch, there are 2-3 messaging points you really want teams to amplify or integrate into your go-to-market story. The Watchlist is where you can pinpoint those for tracking.

You can bundle messages from across your framework into one Watchlist, or isolate a single message you're keeping a close eye on. You choose a start date, an end date (or leave it open), the channels you want to monitor (interactions, assets, or both), and the scope of the org you're watching.

From there, Troupe tracks two things that matter:

Alignment — how closely what's actually being communicated matches your intended message, with a starting value, a current value, and the change between them. This is your early warning system for finding content gaps and targeting team or rep-level coaching.

Deal Presence — what percentage of deals the watched message is showing up in, and how that's changing over time. This is where it gets interesting. You can start asking the questions product marketers rarely get to answer with data: Where we have higher message alignment, are we also seeing that message show up more in deals? As adoption increases, does deal presence follow? Or the inverse: This message is showing up in a lot of deals — but is that because reps are actually aligned to our guide, or are they freelancing it?

The Watchlist automatically lands on your Insights Dashboard with a hover preview showing weekly trend data. You can share any Watchlist across your org so sales, enablement, and leadership see the same picture you do.

2. Team Alignment Watchlists

This one is built for the moments when you need to zoom out from specific messages and look at the people delivering the overall messaging story.

In this Watchlist, you select the teams or individuals you want to track, set your timeframe, and Troupe gives you a week-over-week view of how alignment is trending — and how different teams or reps compare to each other.

It's the kind of visibility that ensures coaching conversations are data-driven instead of gut-driven, and it helps product marketing and enablement work together on where the real gaps are.

When You'll Use This

After a messaging launch. Set up an adoption watchlist the day you brief the team. Track alignment weekly. Know within a few weeks whether the messaging is getting traction (not a quarter later).

After a competitive shift. You've updated your differentiation narrative. Are reps actually using it in competitive deals? Now you can know.

When you're coaching toward a specific message. Track a handful of reps week over week. Show them the trend. Replace the subjective feedback loop with a data-driven one.

When you're making a case for messaging investment. Showing leadership that messaging alignment correlates with deal presence and ultimately with win rate is the kind of evidence that turns product marketing (and even marketing as a whole) from a cost center into a revenue driver.
